Edinburgh’s great for shopping - and not just for all those souvenirs of Scotland, and tartan! These are definitely worth checking out:

Princes Mall - right on Princes Street
Ocean Terminal - a short bus-ride away but you can also visit Royal Yacht Britannia here!
Princes Street - there is no website for this but as far as we know, there is no other place on earth where you can shop on one side of the road, overlooked by a spectacular castle on the other side!
St James Centre - covered centre at the east end of Princes Street - houses John Lewis, among others
Jenners - the last word in elegant department shopping, right on Princes Street.
Harvey Nichols - brand new store just off Princes Street - check out the Forth Floor restaurant for wonderful views and great champagne!
Royal Mile - again, no website but essential to any trip to Edinburgh. If you are looking for tartan, you’ll find it here - along with lots of other interesting stuff! Take your comfy shoes though - it’s quite a hill!
